Jörg Remé | Works 1968 - 1975The development of the 'artificial figures' and their landscapesAs a young artist, Remé had the ambition to find a complete new style in painting without cutting off the sources of inspiration of his avant-garde contemporaries and the great masters of the past. In 1968, his consciousnous as an artist was enlightened by the sudden emergence of the unique 'artificial figure'. In developing this characteristic 'figure', he was able to make a break with the traditional rules of anatomy and naturalistic representation, and to connect the expressive techniques from Western art history and those of other civilizations. |
